Who are Mahma & Maysa?

Mahma & Maysa are two sisters, inspired by our mum’s 1980s childhood and our own early 2000s memories. We grew up surrounded by crafts, board games, and outdoor adventures — before screens became the centre of everything. Through our nostalgic activity boxes, we’re bringing back the beauty of screen-free play, where creativity thrives and connections grow.

What’s inside each box?

Each box is a curated mix of  hands-on activities, creative  ideas, and a timeless toy inspired by the 1980s and early 2000s. Every item is chosen to help you slow down, get creative, and spark your imagination.

Who are the boxes for?

Our boxes are designed for children aged 5–12 — perfect for curious minds who love to create, play, and explore. Each activity can be enjoyed independently or shared with siblings and parents, making it a wonderful way to connect through screen-free fun. Whether you’re introducing little ones to old-school play or joining in for a dose of nostalgia, there’s something inside for everyone to enjoy.

What is the Mahma & Maysa Reading Club?

The Mahma & Maysa Reading Club is a calm weekly online reading club for children aged 6–12, designed to help children move from screens to stories through shared reading, discussion and connection. Our 30-minute live sessions help children build confidence, fluency, eloquence and a genuine love of reading in a relaxed, pressure-free environment. We offer separate boys and girls groups.
